The Best Popcorn Recipe

That’s right. After years of trying different popcorn recipes, I’ve found the best one out there. The search is over. Of course it’s the best according to my taste and definition of best.

This recipe it’s quite easy to do, it gives good results consistently, and most important: it tastes great.

My favorite popcorn is Kettle Corn, which is sweet popcorn with kick of salt.

Ingredients (for two to three people):

Instructions:

  1. Add the oil and one or two popcorn kernels.
  2. Wait until the popcorn pops. Then add all popcorn kernels.
  3. Immediately add the sugar.
  4. Mix everything well.
  5. Put the lid and shake the pan from time to time. Instead of shaking, I usually open a bit the lid and with a wooden spoon keep stirring to prevent burning in the bottom of the pan. It’s tricky tough, because popcorn kernels with very hot oil and caramel pop out of the pan and might burn you (you have been warned! You might want to go with the shaking method instead like in the video below).
  6. When the pop sound slows down turn it off.
